Valiant Aloof
Where olive trees grow

It has been thirty years
and still in tears the sum of all my fears
appears in flesh and bones.
The sun of you, breathtaking
more than any else that I have ever seen.
Extended motion of my parts
which call to dive within.
This sea of gold is not by Ra's al Ghul.
It turns old my itchy burning skin
and I feel like a fool instead.
Soothing thin layers of air
stroke all my hair from back to fore
and as I never told before.
Tonight I rest intimidated
infatuated by your view
with salty drops that look like due.
You - are the one and only image
I always sought, but up to now
I never knew.
New day, new words I never knew
and all the chords of my guitar
dance out a faintly lullaby
the song of the cicadas.
Beside the side B of an unplayed tape
that kept me up 'til late
to just forfeit the fate of summer
curling into the emollient arms
of an irrigating shore to oleasters.
Each new night is passing by
and to abide the laws of flaws
my palms emit the psalms of beings
in search of that day, day of retreat
A day that never comes.
